[Letter] 1811 Feb. 12, Hingham, Mass. : [to] Mary Robbins, Boston, Mass. / [from] John Thaxter.

Letter is mainly about friends and family but also discusses Dr. Thaxter's "merino mania." His flock appears to have contracted a "small-pox" and is rapidly dying off. The "mania" refers to the eagerness of Americans to purchase merinos that were being sold by Spain as a method to secure ready cash to support their Peninsular wars.
